Puppet Court Sentences Tariq Aziz to 15 Years

Apparently the execution of 42 merchants is the best the neocons and their puppets can come up with as "crimes against humanity" of which Foreign Minister Tariq Aziz is supposedly guilty. So much for the premise of waging war to free Iraq from "tyranny." Only people with a truly antisocial bourgeois mentality would consider it a "crime against humanity" to duly execute war profiteers who were trying to get rich by inflating the price of necessary goods during a time of national emergency.

TWO OF SADDAM'S COLLEAGUES RECEIVE 15 YEARS IN PRISON

Baghdad--An Iraqi court sentenced Iraq's former foreign minister, Tariq Aziz, and Ali Hassan al-Majeed, a senior colleague of Saddam Hussein's, to 15 years in prison Wednesday for their role in what the court deemed a crime against humanity, the killing of 42 merchants in Baghdad in 1992 for profiteering.

The sentence was the first against Aziz, who turned himself in to U.S. authorities a month after his government fell in April 2003.
