Rulings of the Illegal ad-Dujayl Trial

Commenting on the verdicts issued with regard to the
imprisoned President of the Republic of Iraq Saddam
Hussein and his comrades by the so-called "ad-Dujayl
Court," an official spokesman of the Popular Front for
the Liberation of Palestine declared the following on
5 November 2006:

The proceedings and results of the trial and the
verdicts issued by it reinforce once again the
validity of the stances taken in opposition to it,
regarding it as nothing but a political tool in the
hands of the American occupation.  They prove once
again how low the Iraqi puppet government has sunk, as
it allows itself to be run by American intelligence
officers.

The free and noble people of Iraq, whose voice is the
heroic resistance, have no connection whatsoever with
this court or these verdicts drawn up at the behest of
the occupation and its stooges.  The Iraqi people have
not deputized anyone to take their place and to take
over their judiciary, or to rewrite their laws however
they want.

It is incumbent upon all free people of the world and
all those who oppose occupation and aggression to
stand resolutely against the continuation of the
occupation and its fascist practices in Iraq.  The
only solution is the departure of the occupiers and
their stooges and the handing over of authority to the
Iraqi people and their legitimate representatives, so
that they alone will be the authority for a just
judiciary.
