Letter of Solidarity with Dogu Perincek
Dear Comrades of the Worker's Party of Turkey,
Please accept my solidarity with Comrade Chairmain Perincek, who as been imprisoned by the Swiss authorities unjustly solely for dispelling the exaggerated claims attributed to the Turks against the Armenian people.
I believe that laws against "denying genocide", which use thought police rather than academic debate and review, lack a principled basis and often, as in the case of the question of the Armenian "genocide", are used to promote the narrative of imperialism and undermine revolutionary and patriotic forces and people.
The 3 month sentence handed down by the Swiss courts simply must be protested by all the progressive and revolutionary organizations and personages.
Sincerely,
John Paul Cupp,
Public Relations Director of the North American Committee Against Zionism and Imperialism (NACAZAI)
